The Notification Templates section serves as the central repository for managing communication templates across all supported channels, including WhatsApp, SMS, Email, IVRS, and Marketing Tools.
Templates created here can be mapped to notification events and used across your communication journeys.
Accessing Notification Templates
- Navigate to the Smart Communications homepage.
- Click Admin Tools in the top-right corner.
- Select Notification Templates from the dropdown menu.

Template List View
The Notification Templates page displays all templates available for your account, organized by communication channel.
Use the channel tabs to switch between:
- SMS
- IVRS
- Marketing Tools
The list view provides visibility into all templates created for a particular channel along with key details such as associated events, delivery metrics, and last updated information.
Creating a Template
To create a new template:
- Click + Add Template.
- Select the communication channel.
- Configure the template details.
Depending on the selected channel, different configuration options and fields will be available on the dashboard.
For supported channels, a live preview panel is available to help you review the message before saving.
- Click Save to create the template.
Managing Templates
- Edit a Template: Click the Edit (pencil) icon to modify the template content, variables, or configuration settings.
- Instantly Test a Template: Click the Play icon to test a template instantly by providing an AWB number and recipient phone number. This allows you to validate the content and rendering before using the template in a live journey.
- Delete a Template: Click the Delete (trash) icon to permanently remove a template from your account.
