What is Rule Iteration and How does it work?

Modified on Mon, 22 Sep at 9:22 AM

Rule Iteration is a feature that ensures smooth order allocation when the initially matched rule cannot be applied.

Here’s how it works:

  • When a rule is matched during recommendation but all the couriers configured under that rule are either inactive or non-serviceable, the system automatically moves to the next available rule that meets the defined conditions.

  • This fallback mechanism ensures that orders are still allocated without disrupting business logic or blocking allocation.

Where can it be used?

  • Rule Iteration can be applied to both Filters and Ordered List.

How to enable Rule Iteration?

  • Go to the main Rules page.

  • At the top of the rules, you’ll see a toggle next to “Rule Iteration.”

  • Enable this toggle to activate the feature.
